NEW ORLEANS, LA – Gulf Coast EDM producer Joey Parker, a.k.a ROOP, recently released his debut EP titled ‘SKYLINES’ with Downfire Productions. Influenced by sounds of Krewella, Adventure Club, Zedd, Tiesto, Deadmau5, 3LAU, and other artists, the EP features 4 original tracks with an electro and big room house vibe. ROOP is rising talent and local favorite in the Gulf Coast EDM scene, gaining recognition across the south east for his high energy DJ sets and edgy electro house production. ROOP gained great exposure during the 2013 year, holding down residencies at the hottest dance clubs and venues on the Gulf Coast to include the IP Casino Biloxi, Zeppelin’s Biloxi and Fountainbleau Room New Orleans.
The 2013 year brought other highlights, including ROOP being recruited as a member of the Definitive Talent DJ Team, a.k.a DEFTAL DJ’S, headlining the 2nd annual PIKE Rave at the University of Southern Mississippi, and sharing the main stage with New Orleans favorite, Jesse Slayter, at the Back Yard Bass Festival in Hattiesburg, MS. Parker was signed under the management of Driven Entertainment in New Orleans, LA and began working on his debut EP in the spring of 2014. The EP was picked up by Downfire Productions Record Label out of Tampa, FL and released on Sept 1, 2014. When asked about the release of his Debut EP, Parker said he was excited to share his original music with the world for the first time. Parker is working on finishing his first full album, which he plans to launch around the first of the year.
