 Top 20 Southern DJ/Producer’s to watch in 2015


1. MK ULTRA (Atlanta, GA)


This ATL base EDM Goddess is on a relentless trek to the top. Making a big statement on her recent EP release, as both producer and vocalist on several tracks, her premier track on the EP features hip hop superstar Trinidad James. MK Ultra is a serious force to be reckoned with in 2015.


2. RIOT TEN (El Paso, TX)


This El Paso, Texas raised producer is exploding into the world of electronic dance music. Originating as a Hip Hop producer at the age of 15, his music has evolved into a unique blend of the Trap and Electro genres. With support from top artists such as A$AP FERG, FLUX PAVILLION, KREWELLA, KENNEDY JONES and more, RIOT has proven his talent to be amongst the industry greats. Recently releasing a 30+ Show Spring Tour, Riot Ten looks to have an amazing year in 2015.


3. KID KAMILLION (New Orleans, LA)


When his original edits and music hit festival main stages in 2013, with support from names like A-Trak, Diplo, and RL Grime, Kid Kamillion had been recognized as one of the top talents coming out of the South. When the man himself, Diplo, picked up Kid Kamillion on the 2014 Mad Decent Tour, his electrifying dirty south bass music captured the attention of EDM fans across the country. Watch out for Kid Kamillion to take over the ears of mainstream EDM in 2015.




This collaborative music project has injected the dance scene with a very distinct taste of bass music.  bThe trios’s music is becoming a fixture in festival playlists by luminaries like Baauer , RL Grime, ETC!ETC! and Skrillex. Their recent ‘Werk’ remix with QuickieMart has gained major support from the likes of Diplo. Look for Smookie Illson to make their way to the big festival stages during 2015.



5. E-VO (Dallas, TX) 


E-VO is one of the most talented, undiscovered producers in the business. Gaining major support from Tiesto, Krewella, Adventure Club and 3LAU in 2013, The E-VOxJoeyy remix of 3LAUxBotnek ‘Vikings’ was performed on the largest stages in 2014; to include EDC Vegas by both 3LAU and Krewella, Coachella, Imagine Fest and many more. The ‘Vikings’ remix also became one of Adventure Club’s featured tracks of 2014 as they dropped in in almost every live performance throughout the year. E-VO’s original music is gaining attention from the ears of EDM fans across the world. Be on the look out as E-VO will make major moves in 2015.



Veteran DJ Producer out of Tampa, Fl, made a statement across the South East in 2014, headlining the top venues and nightclubs across the Greater Gulf Coast Region. A master of the craft, his Progressive and Electro House original music is turning heads across the EDM community. Gaining support from Skrillex on his original mix ‘I Don’t Get You’, Beatwalker is on a rapid rise to the top of the EDM world.


7. BASOMATIK (Tampa, FL)


 A superstar in the making, BASOMATIK gained huge exposure in 2014, with his residency at the infamous Amphitheater in Tampa, FL. With original and twerk remixes, his music is gaining support in the EDM community across the nation. This South Florida based talent is destined for a big 2015.


8. uAnimals (Tampa, FL)

With the success of their bangin’ remix of Sluggo & Helicopter Showdown’s track, “I Want It All”, uAnimals has exploded in the Southern EDM community. In addition to their originals and remixes, they have collaborated with such artists as Varien, Josh Money, Megastrom, Kickraux, DOCO, Louisiana Jones, Bassgator, Afrowhitey, Natty Freq of Mustache Riot with their music captivating EDM crowds across the nation. 9. QUICKIE MART (New Orleans, LA)


Quickie Mart is a true veteran in the world of underground EDM. The founder, producer and force behind South Louisiana based Record Label, SuperMart Produce, QUICKIE MART continues to provide revolutionary music, captivating new audiences and building an ever gorwing fan base. 10. EDDIE GOLD(Atlanta, GA)


This Emerald Coast veteran DJ/Producer is making big moves since taking his music to the ATL. Becoming a popular name in venues all over the South, his original music has built a reputable fan base with fans in the South East. Be on the lookout for Eddie Gold to take off in 2015.


11. DUELLE (Tallahassee, FL)


This Tallahassee based sister duo is a wrecking ball to anything that crosses their path. Huge exposure in 2014, gaining support from the likes of PROTOHYPE, BORGORE, KYGO, ETC! ETC! and more, DUELLE has compelled the masses with their with huge releases on Buygore and Firepower Records. Destined for superstardom in an early career, these girls are on the verge of a huge breakout year in 2015.


12. CARNEYVAL (Virginia Beach)


This rising talent is producing music that is simply good for the soul. If you haven’t heard his release with Jackson Breit, ‘Use Me’ ft. Bill Withers, be sure you have time to kick back and prop your feet to enjoy this relaxing tune. Another first year artists landing a spot at the 2015 Buku Music and Art Project, CARNEYVAL looks to have a great year in 2015.


13. SHORT CIRCUIT (New Orleans, LA)


A true perfectionist at his craft, Short Circuit is quickly becoming known for his crispy clean Electro House production. His 2014 original release ‘Life is Short’, broke the Beatport Top 100 in October 2014. Gaining exposure and a huge fan base across the Gulf Coast and throughout the world, Short Circuit will take over the stages at many clubs and festivals come 2015 festival season.


14. SUICIDE YEAR (Baton Rouge, LA)


This hard hitting southern bass producer promises a big year in 2015. Recently announced to the 2015 Buku Music and Art Project in New Orleans, his music has earned the ears of EDM enthusiast across the world. SUICIDE YEAR is on the brink to make a serious impact in 2015.


15. HYPHEE (Biloxi, MS)


A veteran DJ in the Gulf Coast EDM scene, Hyphee has gained serious attention his original releases, remixes and edits in the past year. 2015 was foreshadowed by Jack-U (Skrillex and Diplo) dropping the the Hyphee and Fresco remix of Busta Rhymes ‘Pass The Courvoisier’ at Madison Quare Garden on NYE. Hyphee recently announced the 1st edition of his new Southern Tour, HYPHEE & FRIENDS, in which Hyphee will host his closet producer friends for shows in his hometown Biloxi, MS. Hyphee joins the group of 1st year artists announced to the 2015 Buku Music and Art Project.


16. DXXXY (New Orleans, LA)


A local and highly requested favorite along the Gulf Coast, DXXXY is no stranger to moving big crowds with his ever evolving production and smashing Live DJ sets. His recent release ‘SHAKE IT’ ft Sissy Mobb, released on Super Mart Produce , was featured as a Beatport Exclusive, gaining huge support from artists and fans. DXXXY shows promise to be a breakout artist in 2015 for the EDM community.


17. ROOP (Biloxi, MS)


 His passion for music is routed from his days performing lead guitar in high school rock bands. A popular name over the past few years in the South Mississippi club scene, ROOP’s talent in the production game was first noticed in 2013 on his Trap remixes and collaborations with Hyphee. Roop surprised the Southern EDM scene with the release of his debut EP, ‘Skylines’, in September of 2014. The bangin’ EP broke the Beatport Top 100 within 24hours of release, climing to #56 over 3 weeks. The EP features 4 Electro/Progressive House tracks, with one of the tracks showcasing a unique vocal melody by Southern Rock vocalist Drew Goff. A true talent in a sea full of great producers, keep an eye out for ROOP on the rise in 2015.


18. TRUESOUND (New Orleans, LA)


 This New Orleans based DJ/producer is catching the eyes and ears of fans in EDM fans across the Gulf Coast. His original remix to Beatwalker’s ‘Cariad’, was a competition winner released on Downfire Productions. Be on the watch for new music coming from TRUESOUND in 2015.


19. CLAB (New Orleans)


 After winning the 2014 BASSIK 2 BUKU DJ Competition, and claiming his spot to perform at the infamous Buku Music and Art Project in New Orleans, C-LAB has won the hearts of the New Orleans EDM community in a short but promising start to his career. If you’re in New Orleans, chances are you’ll catch C-LAB at the most popular venues in the Big Easy, opening for some of the biggest names in EDM. Don’t overlook this rising star as one to watch in 2015.


20. AKOOU (Dallas, TX)


 The rookie class of the list, this new and true Dallas based duo is on a path to future success. It’s hard work, persistency, dedication and pure love of their craft that has gained AKOOU the attention of loyal EDM fans across the Gulf Coast. Landing their first festival appearance at the 2014 Lights All Night, ears have turned to the stages which are now featuring the music of AKOOU. Catch them in city near you on their rise to fame in 2015.
